well, Estonia has problems with democracy (see events of April 26-28, freedom of self-expression as an example thereof), journalism (one-sidedness of reflection of the above-mentioned situation), relations with other countries and unions (NATO and the EU not to be considered the only unions in the world). And hr. Ansip leads that crappi system. Even more - he leads it to total collaps Shocked Rolling Eyes Crying or Very sad

Yea, whats wrong graves and gravemarks being in graveyard?

Why Russia is makeing so big deal of it?

Becouse russians are raised in knowledge that Russia saved world from evil facism, its foundation of Russia. .

But it is not true, cccp-s meaning was to dominate world, not save countries.
Also there where aful crimes that cccp did.

So relocation of statue was act that ignitiated need to look back at history.
Communism was no better than fascism, worse actually if you look amount of innocent people that got killed.

Eu is allready doing that.

That truth will harm Russia from in- and outside in future.

Suspect It isn´t true. If you look of the idology of both systems, you will see that fascism is much worser than communism. And cccp really saved the world from this evil facism, maybe they have done it just to survive, but it doesn´t matter. Third reigh attacked cccp an was destroyed.

Why should it harm Russia? Russia isn´t a communist country any more. (Perestroja, Gorbatschow, etc.) pirat

democracy- the power of majority... apparently most of the people wanted the statue being moved... in democratic country it is not legal to throw rocks at policeman and it is not legal to destroy streets.

one-sideness Shocked you have proof? if you do, please prove it Laughing

estonia is not big enough to make business or to trade oil with brasil or the virgin islands

putin sucks lol!

thank you

Freedom of self expression is allowed here. But it's not allowed to throw everything near you at police officers. And the 'protest' that was going on there was not offically allowed by the government, people just randomly showed up, so it was rather illegal. And those rules are in every democratic country.

linked f wrote:
journalism (one-sidedness of reflection of the above-mentioned situation)
Our journalists weren't one-sided (most of them), they rather took the facts and stated their opinion. There were journalists against the whole thing also btw. And talking of one-sidedness... Take a look at Russian media from that time...

Also, additional material for you to think about:
Worldwide press freedom ranking of countries:
Estonia sharing 6th place with Norway
Russia- 147th place
That's out of 168 total. Not bad Wink

Our relationships with democratic countries around the world is good. And what unions did you mean then? Please be more specific.

linked f wrote:

The opposite- Mr. Ansip is leading in a good direction, imo atleast. I'm happy with his actions, as 76% of estonians (according to a Postimees poll on 27th april).

freedom of speech, free democracy.. these are jokes of "modern" russia.

journalism for example.. anna politkovskaya was just a tip of the iceberg.. last year over 40 russian journalists have been killed in russia.. becouse they writed about things putin didnt like.. call that freedom of speech then..

free democracy? putin was chosen by the people? no, jeltsin named him.. all about russian democracy in one sentence..

more about putin? how about human rights in russia? remember the litvinenko case? putin doesn't give a shit about human rights.. he blew up a block with people just to start a war against tchetchenians..

Communism-all people are equal
Nationalism-fascism-national socialism-one nation keeps together (against foreign workers for example)

Both of ideas aren’t bad actually, its people, who are achieving aims but killing others doing that.

All this "40" reportes critizised putin? Don´t make me laugh. cyclops Polycowskaja was one of few which have criticised Putin, and if Putin wanted to kill her, she would die a long time ago.

I think it doesnt matter how bad was communism or how bad was nazism. Its important that our little country, named Estonia, still exists on the World Map.
Im saying that Estonians should forget arguing about different occupations. We should argue about how to keep Estonia an independent country... Wink

Your on the right way! but you know, real independence is when you don't even think of it. It's like the air you breath: you think of it only if you lack it or it is spoiled:-)) best regards!
