i dont agree to part of statement, riots where proof of problems in our society. We need more communication and dialog to understand eachother and be more whole country.

All this "40" reportes critizised putin? Don´t make me laugh. cyclops Polycowskaja was one of few which have criticised Putin, and if Putin wanted to kill her, she would die a long time ago.

you really like to misunderstand things aye?

these reporters have been killed for a fact, shot, poisoned.. last one fall from a balcony as I remember. sure it was an accident.

they didnt critisize putin.. they could critisize putin's acts, government's acts, police acts or anything.

and no, putin didnt kill them by himself.. money talks, there is alot of people who are ready to kill for money.

hope I cleared things for you, if you have more stupid comments, feel free to reply.

Putin is is murderer, IN MY OPINION, of course. The worst president in Russia for ever No . If we even leave out that he loves Soviet union that was criminal empire ("The worst catastrophe in 20th century was the end of Soviet Union"- Putin and while he made speech in 9th may there was big portraite of Stalin behind his back. I of course can be mistaken, but wasn't it that even many russians didn't like Stalin?), then he constrains free journalism, let kill or arrest people against him and let's talk about what's happening in Chechenia... And it's mainly his fault that Russia has very, very little democracy.

Sometimes I feel that all Russians are sick of words. And then they use their military power against mainly peaceful neighbours.

Putin has many mistakes (first of all the fact that he loves CCCP and doesn't like the independence of Estonia) but when I try to think objectively I actually can't imagine how Russia could be held together by some softy. Such a big and colourful country would literally fall apart without a great authorityand strong central power. Putin also definitely is a clever man who knows how to make Russia really powerful - even though people is not rich there, Russia has a great influence on other countries and everyone want to keep good relationships with it. Compare it with the time when Jeltsin had the power.

Putin is probably the best president Russia could have.

I don't think they would use the nuclear bomb. Putin would prefer to close the oil and gas taps.

Maybe that would be a solution? I'm not saying it is, just bringing up another thought...

When I asked an American friend of mine why did he vote for Bush, he said, "Bush is a strong leader, what he's doing is good for america. People in the rest of the world don't like him because of propaganda (?!!!) against him."

Maybe not in this century (though probably many would like it) but, hmm, do you know where the Old-Russian country was situated? And all the time till nowadays Russia only conquer their neighbours.

On the first elections I voted for him, on the next time I wasn't able to vote (was out of town), but I wouldn't vote for him... And what were you trying to say? It wasn't Putin's fault that he was the only normal candidate then. By the next elctions I could see that he is not "the best president ever". But people support him whether I like it or not... and I still don't see someone who is worth to be the president of RF Sad I hope we'll have more and better candidates next year.

funny, thats how I feel about USA candidates. nobody wants to have bush or republicans back. but its hard to find anyone from democrats to vote for. there are two strong candidates who will likely (one of them) be the final one. Barack Obama and Clinton. I liked Bill Clinton, but im not so sure his wife would be a good president. and Obama is too younge IMO. but if I would have to choose between the two of them, I'd choose Obama. But it wouldnt be a good choice. I wouldnt be surprised if republicans win again and only becose this time democrats didnt had a good strong name out. and it could happen if republicans bring out Rudolph Giuliani .
But when it came to estonian candidates Im glad Toomas-Hendrik Ilves won.

These are a few things I hate in Russia today:
•We can’t elect governors anymore
•Everything is very centralized, which is absolutely inadmissible in such a big country like Russia
•Inequality. I work for a public company and I get paid much less than my friend who does the same job for a bank; and if he worked for bank in Moscow he would get three times more than here.
•I have to post in this forum trying to convince everybody here that we are not so bad as we may look Smile
