Another step to know more about each other. Write here what is the average salary in your country (just write beside if it is an official report or what you consider to be average, because the two can be far from each other) and some prices for representative products: 1kg white or brown bread, 1l milk, 1l fuel, a BigMac menu in McDonald's.
Just write any which you can.

the avg salary is 2500z³ brutto, which is 1600-1700 netto (you get 1700, the rest are taxes)

bread, beer is 2-3z³
internet: 25-200z³
mobile: ~50z³
fresh milk (3.2% of fat): 2,30z³
lunch at bistro: 10-20z³
one travel ticket for a bus in Warsaw for student: 1.20z³
(normal: 2.50z³)
1l of gasoline is ~4.40

one year at private university - 6000z³

If you don't have 30z³ don't look at MC

that's why i rather use bike than a car or bus/train. also i rather study in a public university than a private one.

Oh, your salaries are exactly the same as here, if it is really the average ,but all prices are lower than here, some are like half of the Hungarian ones.

my example is for warsaw. in other city's salaries are often lower, but prices are at similar level.
also you have to remember that in warsaw there are lot of ppl with more than 10000z³ per month and huge number of ppl with 800z³ per month... 800z³ is the minimal salary.

Okay, it's my turn.
Some days ago I heard a stupid announcement in radio, which said "the median salary of the Hungarians is 756 euros/month" - well, yeah it is a median, not an average, it is not even usual in Budapest. It is like they added all salaries, but those ones of the wealthier ones are so much more than the salaries of the poorer ones, that a false number was got.
A usual salary in Hungary is about 480 euros, the minimal salary is very good thanks to the radical raisement of the Fidesz in 2001: now it is 265 euros.

1l gasoline: 1,15 euros
1kg half-brown bread: 0,75 euro
Lunch at a normal-priced restaurant/fast-food restaurant: 3-4 euros
A one-travel ticket for a bus in a county-capital: 0.8 euro, in Budapest more than 1 euro
McDonald's is still the most expensive fast-food restaurant here, unlike in Western-Europe, a BigMac is around: 3,6 euro
The fee for the worst kind of train: 0,06 euro/kilometre
Table-soccer automats run with 50 Forint coins (0,2 euro)
0,5l beer of normal (not Hungarian) quality: 1,1 euros

but the cheapest ¯ywiec beer is at my university: 4.50 in pub Very Happy Tyskie (or Warka) is for 3.50 Very Happy Prices like in a shop
